Appointment
When you come to your first appointment please bring with you:
- Referral letter from your doctor. Referrals from GPs are valid for 12 months, referrals from other specialists are valid for 3 months
- Medicare card
- Private hospital insurance information
- Any recent imaging reports, blood test and pap smear results and any other relevant information

Clinical consultations are offered our rooms in North Preston Specialists and at the outpatient department of the Northpark Private Hospital.
Our friendly receptionists will make your appointment at your preferred location.

Obstetrics services
Dominika provides specialist care of low and high risk pregnancies, and is trained and experienced in conducting all methods of deliveries. We encourage women’s informed choice and active participation in their care.

Gynaecological procedures
Dominika is is trained in vaginal, abdominal and laparoscopic surgical procedures. See below for more information on procedures offered.
The practice uses Medicare online claiming, which allows automatic payment of your Medicare rebate into your nominated account.
You will have some out-of-pocket expenses, however our fees are competitive.
Private health insurance covers your hospital expenses, but does not cover specialist fees (e.g. anaesthetist, paediatrician).
You should check that your private health insurance plan covers you for your obstetric care.
Dr Dominika Mohoric-Stare is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who provides all risk obstetric and general gynaecology services.
She graduated from The University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1999 (MD). She completed her Master in International Public Health form Sydney University in 2002.
Dominika underwent specialist training and worked in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2014.
She currently works publicly in The Northern Hospital in Epping. She also consults privately at the North Preston Specialists in Bundoora and has admitting rights at the Northpark Private Hospital.
